Security researchers have recently announced the discovery of a new security vulnerability,referred to as The Heartbleed Bug. This vulnerability affects the encryption technology that is designed to protect internet communications, such as email and web browsing, and targets servers or applications using forms of OpenSSL (Secured Sockets Layer) software. This software is used by numerous websites to create a secure connection.
Pacific Valley Bank has no evidence that our website has been improperly accessed due to this vulnerability; however, we recommend that our consumer Online Banking customers change their password.
